  • An environment conducive to critical thinking.

  • An environment that is designed for learning.

  • One that is free from politics and propaganda.

  • One that is free from bias and tyranny.

  • One that is free from any external influence that would negatively affect the individual’s Journey of learning and how to think.

  • One that is safe.

  • A home away from home where every learner smiles at the thought of coming in, exploring, doing, and being.

Lauren Morrison - HEAD ADMINISTRATOR

Lauren’s professional path started off in the veterinary world, which led to her working for the Texas Animal Health Commission at the State Federal Lab for many years.

She then moved on to being a service coordinator in the Plant operations department at a hospital, until eventually ending up substitute teaching. This led her to Apogee as a substitute and admin assistant.

Substitute teaching at public schools really opened her eyes to the need to do so much better for our children, as they deserve the best. She truly believes that Apogee is a part of that solution and will always do her very best to ensure the children at this school are getting the best education we can give them.

Lauren was born and raised in Texas and is married with two beautiful children – a 13 year old girl, 6 year old boy, and three crazy dogs! Outside of ACP, she stays busy being involved with her daughter’s many extracurricular activities!

She’s excited to join the Apogee family because learners are given the opportunity to be curious, to explore, and take risks. Most importantly, learners are given the opportunity to learn through a variety of ways.

In her free time, she is very involved in church. She wants to be able to help each learner find their passion in life and affirm to them that they can be anything they want.

She leads worship, helps with the kid’s department and plans community service events that herchurch can be a part of. She also loves to spend quality time with her family and friends.

Andrea Camargo- COACH Assistant

Andrea was always passionate about creativity, arts, and crafts. This led her to study and obtain a degree in Architecture, which she practiced in her hometown, Bogota, Colombia.

Nine years ago, she moved to Austin, Texas, marking an exciting new chapter as a professional and allowing her to immerse in the educational world as a preschool guide and teacher.

With a clear vision of the importance of the environment in child development, she decided to dedicate her skills to enriching children's learning by fostering creativity in teaching and the holistic development of each unique and incomparable child.

Through her work at Apogee, she aspires to leave a lasting impact on early education, building dreams and solid foundations for future generations.

In addition to her passion as an educator, Andrea enjoys her time with God, her husband and family. She likes exploring new places for hikes and engaging in outdoor activities.

Decorating her home, painting, and indulging in art brings her joy.

“The thought of a learning environment that incorporates active learning, includes all the senses, and emphasizes a pursuit personalized to your individual gifts, sounds amazing. What kid doesn’t deserve that?”
